Dinner @ MESA, Greenbelt 5 + Burlesque (02.05.11)

Saturday night and I went out with my girlfriends:)
Deah and I met at UST while Tracy and Patty went directly to GB
We claimed our reserved movie tickets and I even saw chug who just arrived that time

We walked and walked searching for food and I was really starving that time since I just came from work. Deah suggested to go to GB5 and so we did. We agreed to dine at Mesa. We chose one dish per category except vegetables! haha,, but one thing is sure! we will have binagoongan!

SIZZLING BLUE MARLIN BELLY
very flavorful! One if the few Marlin dishes that I would like to remember

SAUTEED SHRIMP IN COCONUT CURRY
a must try!!! there is something special about this dish and it suits the famous Filipino line
"sarsa pa lang ulam na"
very powerful

PORK BINAGOONGAN
this is my favorite,, not only that I'm a meat lover but I like the combination of flavors
it's not the usual binagoongan that you eat,, there's a kick in it

meeting friends is the happiest vice that I have:))
I love them so much! We spent an hours chatting and chatting
it's a night of laughter for the four of us

BURLESQUE
bow down to cher and cristina!
i'm an instant fan,, LSS mode after the movie,,, I wanna see it again

show me how you burlesque!!!

Dinner @ Sentro 1771, Greenbelt + Love and Other Drugs(01.30.11)

It's Sunday night and I went out to watch a movie at greenbelt
We came late and we only have one hour left to have dinner so we went inside Sentro since it's the first one which caught my attention after going down from the movie house... I have no idea what kind of food they offer there that time...
I love the ambiance of the place... I actually hate bright lights and
I love the not so modern concept of the resto...

It's a nice place to sit back, relax or even chat with your friends...
The waiters are attentive and the service is fast which is good especially that time since we're on a rush

We chose dishes that would take less than 10 mins to prepare,,
I decided to have Honey Garlic Pork Spareribs...
I love the meat's tenderness and juiciness., not to mention that they have big servings

My friend had Grilled Chicken Steak
I tasted it and I like his better than mine:))

Of course a good conversation will complete the dinner:)) We maximized the time and enjoyed every second of it, then we're off to the cinema

LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS
this movie is surprising and fun!
anne's courage to change her image from being a princess to a revealing and adventurous woman is really surprising!!! the story is touching and it surely moved me!
Of course I enjoyed it more since it talks about drugs... it's pharmacy in the movies:)

Birthday Celebration @ Racks, Mall of Asia (01.28.11)

It's the day for the grand celebration of UST @ 400...
Me and my college friends decided to meet... we took the chance to celebrate my birthday as well as jehanne's! Since there are lots of people within the campus, we went to MOA to have dinner...

We had a hard time choosing where to eat since it's friday night and there are many people in the mall.
Then we went to Racks and reserve some seats while waiting for the others...
The lady at the entrance asked us if we want to dine inside of if we would like to stay outside... we told her that we want a place inside then she said that we should wait for a while..
when the others came we decided to take a seat at the table outside because we are 15 in number and we are blocking the way,, i lost my temper when i noticed that there are already about 4 who came after us who got their seats first,, the lady told us that they will not get us seats because we occupied one outside. I told her that should not be since we went on that spot for us not to block the way while they can't give us a table... i decided to take the one outside so as not to ruin the night...

what's nice about Racks is that they have Platters for big groups,, We had Beef Ribs and Ribs and Chicken Platter

The fish and chips is good... It's not dry and doesn't have an after taste
The bread is also tasty and not that hard unlike others which is favorable for me since i still have braces that time

The pasta is great! I love it... SAKTO is the word which best suits it
We ordered another one since we felt that there is famine that time:)

The BBQs are to die for! so soft and tender:) I enjoyed it as well as my friends.. the sauce is a perfect match to any BBQ that they serve

we also enjoyed the different side dishes that were included in the platter
but the mashed potato is not that good and a little dry

Look at our happy faces!!!
I MISS YOU PEERS!!!
I hope to see you all soon:)

We miss you Bless!
Ikaw na Geline ang may jowa! hahaha

Breakfast @ The Sicilian Express (01.27.11)

Andrea and I decided to meet at UST a day before the Q Celebration! I came to buy the 200 peso bill with the UST @ 400 logo but it was no longer available. I asked Deah to have breakfast with me at The Sicilian Express, Dapitan. I was really craving for  pasta since last night. We were not sure if it's open because it's too early... Luckily they were!
Deah had a solo order of Seafood Marinara (140.00). What I love about Sicilian is the generosity when it comes to the sauce!

As always, I had Carbonara (130.00). I really love the creaminess of the sauce matched with the perfectly cooked pasta! I lililililililili love it!
We also ordered Chicken wings (180.00). 4 pieces of spicy wings served with sour creme dip. It was the first time we ordered this and I must say that it's a discovery! Deah likes it as well... I was surprised that she finished hers first:))

We went back to UST after that to meet Zoe! Deah treated us at the Krispy Kreme booth near the UST field. They joined me roaming around the campus while I am waiting for the time of my shift. I miss my friends so much!

Dinner @ Banana Leaf, Trinoma + The Tourist (01.24.11)

It's Monday! Jha and I agreed to watch The Tourist at Trinoma... We came from work so we arrived late and we only have few options on where to eat. I am not into fast food that time since I've been to Mcdo, KFC and Jollibee for the past days. I want to try some thing new so we walked up and down then up again. I am familiar of the name Banana Leaf but it was the first time I saw it! I decided to dine in.
Banana Leaf has nice interiors! I love the walls especially the ceiling. The detail is amazing... What i don't like are the chairs... well, since the theme is like eating in a native Asian place, it matches the others... but I am a fan of couches:))
THE PLACE: 3.8 / 5.0

I really want pork that time and since I am not a fan of Asian dishes I played safely because I am really hungry!!! I chose to have Charcoal Grilled Sliced Pork Steak Thai Style (228.00). The pork steak is common but the sauce gave a kick to this dish
RATING: 3.5 / 5.0

We are the last customer for the night so we became considerate and decided not to give stress to the the crew. We did not order many and asked the waiter about the time of preparation. Then we picked our rice.
Penang Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Chicken (188.00). What I love about this is the taste of tuyo in it which is not too powerful. I enjoyed it so much.
RATING: 4.7 / 5.0

When the order arrived I instantly realized that it will not be enough for our starving stomachs so I asked Jha to order one more dish. I am not surprise that he picked a curry dish. Malayan Chicken Curry with Potatoes (228.00).When you look at it, it seems that it's your usual curry but wait until you tasted it!  It has this flowery and spicy flavor that made it interesting! Jha loves it so much
RATING: 4.8 / 5,0

I enjoyed dinner so much.I will surely come back to try more of their dishes! I love the service crew.. they did not show any sign of irritation even if they extended for few minutes:))

We left the restaurant with full stomachs:) We headed the cinema to watch The Tourist
